The best thing is to go to a shop and have them fit you. But if you are 6 feet tall, I would probably recommend somewhere in the neighborhood of a 19-20 inch mountain bike or a 58-60cm road bike. Again, all brands a re different so the best thing to do is go to a shop and have them check you out.

I would NOT recommend such a big mountain bike to you. But, it will depend on where and how you are riding a mountain bike to determine appropriate sizing. If you want to ride on the street in town, then a larger mountain bike would be appropriate. But, if you plan to ride off road on trails, then you want to go as small a frame as possible on a mountain bike while feeling comfortable.

For instance, I am 6'7", and I prefer a 19" frame for a mountain bike. The recommended size is often as large as 24" for me, but it is too big to ride off road, unless you want to constanly take the chance you might "rack" yourself.
