I hadn't been playing or exercising either. It happens about every other month. I'm retired, so it's nothing to do with periods. Nothing hurt, and I felt better after about 30 min. Then we went & ate, because we thought maybe that had something to do with it. I had eaten about 4 hours before this happened. Oh yeah, I saw my Dr. a few months ago & he tested my blood & found nothing wrong. Thanks.

The first thing I thought of is hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).
Even though your doctor checked your blood you may have been checked at a time when your sugar was high enough not to cause alarm. I have this condition myself. Trust me, it can change very quickly. Next time you feel that way go to the ER. Get tested again. Dont eat before you go. Good luck to you.

First of all just because your retired, doesn't mean you can't get your period are you in peri menopause or menopause?

It sounds like your glucose levels ( both high and low can cause this). If your doctor hasn't already done so, have him or her do an A1C test and kidney and liver function tests. These are all blood tests. The A1C will give you an average of your glucose (sugar) levels for the past 3 months. I hope this helps.

You don't say how old you are but a few things come to mind, heart problems, diabetes to name two.Could also have to do with any meds you are taking if it re occurs the go back to the doctor and tell him what is going on and that you are concerned about it.

Sounds like reactive hypoglycemia.

the next time this happens, go to the emergency room immediately-while it is still happening. you could be having tiny heart attacks, or TIAs(mini strokes) dont wait until its too late!

I suggest you get a second opinion. There are other things that can be going on.
