Your husband's circulatory system is totally compromised at this time. That is why he feels like he's freezing. The best solution for this is massaging his feet and legs as often as possible. You could probably do this for him, just massaging upwards is going to get the blood moving towards the heart, which will help the overall circulation. You don't have to be a trained massage therapist to do this.

Ask your medical doctor if your husband can take semi hot baths to help with the circulation problem as well. Go over all of the symptoms with your medical doctor.

Diabetes causes damage to the nerves and blood vessels which is probably what is making him feel cold and what caused the stroke.
That is why it is so important for diabetics to have a balanced diet and keep their blood sugar under control. This practice will help slow down the damage.

The circulation problems says it all. He is not getting enough flow to keep him warm. My sister has diabetes and her hands stay very cold all the time. My brother-in-law even wore gloves in the house to try to stay warm. I don't know how to help but please ask the Dr. if there is a solution. Good luck.

I think ur hubby probably has problems with his CNS meaning his sensory neurons are going haywire and making him feel really cold at times. I'd say the stroke may have caused some damage... see ur GP.

It is possible that his stroke affected the hypothalmus, whick regulates body temperature. Also, I have heard patients say that they have felt "colder" since the start of their blood thinner regimen...like Coumadin.
