I really recommend that you see a dermatologist. You need to know exactly what the "bumps" are and what the discoloration might be the result of before it can be treated properly. It is never wise to treat something on your face without knowing what you are dealing with..especially since the wrong stuff could make things worse.

Tend Skin lotion might help. I saw a review about Tend Skin lotion at Amazon.com. The review had been written by a black guy. He said he used it on his face after he shaved. He seemed to like it. It's supposed to prevent ingrown hairs and other problems caused by shaving. It's not cheap, but it's supposed to work better than aftershave. Make sure you buy the lotion. Don't buy the gel. The gel is meant to be applied before you start shaving.
