No it is not your boyfriend's job to give your mother a gift on mother's day.

It is job to give the gift to your own mom.

But your boyfriend can certainly give gift to your mom in good faith without being pressured by you.

If you have a good relationship with the mother, then yes. If the mother doesn't know you from Adam, then no.

Rather than a gift, send her a card to let her know you're thinking of her.

It's not the boyfriend's job but it would be a very nice thing to do and if you want to get on your her mother's and your girlfriend's good side I think you should GO FOR IT. But it should be something nice and simple maybe a dozen roses and a card.

If it's his job than he's getting paid for it, right?
Only kidding....It's not required but would be nice if he gave her some flowers with a note saying something like, "Thanks for raising the most beautiful girl in the world~" or something like that!
Remember, you can give his mom a gift too if you wish...
That's the beauty of giving....If it comes from the heart, it's always OK>>~!
