Hi, I have a hypo thyroid and high blood pressure, my weight went from 140lbs to 235 in just over a year. I couldnt shift the weight no matter what but I got put onto a nutritional guy who put me some things together that kept me energized and healthy and I lost weight at the same time. I have lost over 75 pounds in the last nine months, I still have some way to go but I feel great and I am in excellent health. The nutritional guy checks in with me every week, he has made a couple of slight changes in my products that I use over that time but I have been healthy throughout. My blood pressure has come right down and my cholesterol has improved too. I have had great advice on my diet and health and learned more about my health than when going to my doctor. Try www.myhealthabc.com, the support, products and help you get is the best. The guy there really understands and makes sure you get the best things for your own situation. There is a toll free number so you can get samples from the guy so you can try them before deciding if they are right for you, I think I just paid the postage as the actual samples were free. Let the guy know your problems and he will help you I am sure. I know that I will continue to lose weight safely and keep it off with the help I have received. I hope this helps you, good luck.

Sounds like your weight is genetic. Losing weight may take a while.
Your best bet is to stop most simple sugars like white flour, sodas, or rice. Cutting down on sweets helps you switch to lower calorie beverages like tea, which is pretty good for you, and cheap.
Eat complex carbs and lean meats.
Remember a pound of fat is about 5000 calories. I weigh 170 and can burn 400+ calories in a trip to the gym if I only go by what the treadmill says. That enables me to lose a pound every 10 or 11 visits. Being larger, treadmill will burn more calories for you. Work is calculated by mass over distance. Raise the mass, do more work. Work = heat = calories
Lifting weights would increase your muscle mass. Muscle burns more calories than fat at rest. You may gain weight at first, but your waistline will diminish.
good luck.

hey i am 20 to and way about 110 kg i live in Australia and last week just started to eat healthy... it so far has been really hard for me cause for so long i have been eating rubbish day in and day out. My advise to u is that i think so far you have the right idea, keep up the water and maybe chew gum to avoid eating that seems to work for me. I also would recommend a appetite suppressant... i find it hard to exercise but anything extra that u are doing will help. Keep up the healthy eating and u should find urself losing weight... i find catching public transport instead of taking the car helps and getting a heap of friends and joining a gym or fitness club.... i do know how u feel and u will get there, i'm sure of it.... good luck and its great that u are doing it for urself... X

Exorcise relieves stress. Try short fast paced sprints with walking in between (keep your arms up high when walking)
this will build your stamina and get you in shape, the more you do it the better you will get and faster your time will be.
And by doing these types of exorcises youll in turn help lower your blood pressure. Im also a college student and since i started running every day, Not only have i become quickly addicted, but ive also been doing better in my classes.
One good thing for you is this,
Heavier people lose weight quicker than lighter weight
people.
set your mind to it and keep in there

Walking is the best way to get those pounds off. Dont work out too much to start off, gradually start more and more each week. Eating healthy is a great way to help with health problems and weight as well. You have to have the drive to get up and go everyday to exercise and continue to eat healthy. Maybe try to make a friend who can help motivate you, or get a personal trainer. I have dealt with alot of weight issues to get to where i am, and still have a ways to go. If you want to you can e-mail me. I'll help as much as i can!

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!
