I became an atheist. If he didn't have time for me, I don't have time for him. Life is short and I have a lot to get done.

Honestly this happens often because some of the things I ask for are selfish, mostly when I was younger. God only gives us what we need and deserve. He may answer our prayers years later or in a way that we didn't expect or don't even want. But He always answers us.

At my childhood I've asked my parents to get me things that I like 2 owe. But they had always had an idea about what is good to me and not. Sometimes they get me what I need and sometimes not. That doesn't mean they don't love us. It simply means they have reserved it for something better. Imagine, If this is about parents, what god would have for us in store!?

Yes. I reacted badly, I threw a tantrum, and backslid, ( Oh so Childish ! ). As it turns out, if He had granted my request, it would of ended in a disaster, and I would of missed the really Awesome thing He had waiting just 5 Years down the road ! Thank God for saying NO !
Be Blessed in Christ Jesus !

If you ask "god" then you must believe in him. If you believe in him then you must be able to comprehend that your judgment of what you want may not be the best for you. So I usually think the man upstairs has a plan for me and I just don't fully understand it yet. So if I ask for something and don't get then maybe it wasn't meant to be.

when I was a kid I had to go down this street with dogs I couldn't avoid it, and these dogs were big and scary and always loose, I had to go down that way to go home but I was so afraid. These dogs were vicious, so instead I decided to pray to god and asked him for them to go away I literally begged him in tears. And you know what I went down that street and they were gone.

Sure...I asked my dad for things I did not need too and did not get them...and much like my earthly father I came to understand in time that my heavenly father knows best

Well I keep asking to win the lottery and so far, nada.
Of course, it would help if I actually played the thing.

I asked God to give me a sign that He existed. Nothing happened. A believer friend said she'd pray for a sign. Nothing happened. My reaction: I wasn't surprised.
