"If you don't believe why are you asking?
Any answer would be ridiculous to you, no?
I could answer your question but why should i bother when its only falling on deaf ears? " =====this sounds very much like this person was avoiding the Q since she obviously bothered to type this out!

and also what i meant was ,please give an informative answer instead of merely telling me that i'm going to go to hell for my lack of beliefs.

Actually, it's a very good question. Yes, God knew how Lucifer would react to his post above God's Throne. But He also knew that the final outcome would be far more interesting and glorious than would have happened had Satan NOT fallen.
It's really much easier to comprehend if you think of Creation as a story by a science fiction author, and we are all characters in that story. This does not affect free will, since the characters I write have often done as THEY pleased rather than what I wanted them to do. But I can always work around that. :)

well. satan was originally a follower of God before he sinned, so i would say that he didn't create him like that purposely, but i don't think that is true because God knows what is going to happen before it does, so He knew that satan was going to betray him before he created him.

so....i think it is something we will never truely know.

i think that it deffinantly has a lot to do with free will and i also thiink it is so after we go through the suffering we do for God and live in a place full of sin and be sinners ourselves, i think it will make heaven that much better.

but i am probably way off on that considering His mind is far more reasonable than mine. but i do know that God has a reason for everthing wether we understand it or not.
"Trust in the Lord your God always and lean not on your own understaning" i don't know what verse that is but i always remember it.

Why did God create night ? To bring out the beauty of The Day.
Why did God create sickness ? To appreciae health.
Why did God create Satan ? So when certain men choose to do good, inspite of temptation ...... it is realised by others, what the real doing of good is. In absence f satanic temptations it would be very easy to do good, and even people who are bad at heart would be doing good....... so what would be the criteria to seive out good people from bad ? This whole system was created so the real sincere and strong good-doers will be easily distinguished from the not so sincere ones.
If you believe in exams and test taking strategies, you will know what i`m talking about.
Why do colleges have tests for entering, GRE SAT etc. many who don`t like to study will say these tests are satan-like, they caused us not to enter the college ...... well thats the criteria to tell the deservant ones from non-deservant ones.
I guess !!!

great question. But I don't have the perfect answer. I am a finite man and cannot know the whole mind of God, be He has given us the Bible which contains enough for us to do as we must.God created Satan to rebel. every thing including Satan was created for a twofold purpose; for God to be glorified and for the salvation of His elect. even though Satan is in rebellion everything he does is done according to God's will.

Okay this is my theory on this: Before we were around, God had his angels, who were created to serve him. But God wanted a creation that would love him by choice, not a robot or another version of the angel. When he created the angels he also created Lucifer, the most beautiful angel, the angel of music as a matter of fact.... Lucifer wanted to be God and he took his army of fallen angels and tried to battle God, and lost.
God, being God, for sure knew what would go down, but in a way he created his counterpart just by creating Lucifer a little better.....
...as humans we are God's most precious and favorite creation. But without the temptation from Satan, we WOULD just be serving God as robots. That's why in the Garden of Eden he made that one tree that Adam and Eve couldn't eat from. These weren't magic fruits....it was the act of disobeying God by choice, and knowing the difference between good and evil as a result of eating from that tree. Satan is the tempter and because of him, mankind was convinced to disobey God.
So, I apologize for my ramble but in my head it all makes sense. On paper, maybe not so much. But that's basically what I think...

Ha Ha your going to hell!!! (kind of like when Christians ask questions about their faith and some atheist says who cares God does not exist and ruins the entire post)

But i do not generalize Satan was created as an angel by God, he became Satan because God created free will, he wanted us to be able to make our own decisions (free will) he gave us in essence the ability to sin, for our own happiness. The same can be said of Satan and the fallen angels who were with him when he rebelled against God.

The Hebrew God invented the concept of evil.
It was the New Testament editors and translators that gave the concept a persona to scare the peasants into being "saved."

It appears that GOD wants willing company. At one point the Angels had free will. They chose to rebel. Now we have the same options they did. Satan seems to play a very important role in showing us what not to do. It's a wonderful negative example.
