why do so many of you ask why Atheists are here? Is it really anyone else's business? If a stranger walked into your church and told you they were an Atheist, would you kick them out?

Gosh, I didn't think I would have to point out the obvious. I KNOW that YA is not the house of God! My point is that so many are so unwelcoming here to those who don't believe. Yet your religions teach otherwise.

Everyone should be welcome in a church. If someone comes in with different beliefs, they should be able to learn like everyone else. If you are concerned that people will distract with their snobby attitudes, go there and keep to yourself, but soak up the information.

speaking for myself,[ since i once asked it myself]. I was just surprised by the number of them here and because I never equated spirituality and atheism. No we would not kick them out nor would we overpower them with religious talk. We would try to start a friendship with them. we have a small church, very friendly and real.

When Israel was freed from slavery and led through the desert for 40 years they had tents that only members of one tribe could enter to talk to God.. no outsiders, not even females were allowed inside...
So there are exceptions as to where Atheists are welcome.

I think the problem some of us have is the abusive language and confrontational tone they take. And I will admit, some of us can get a little confrontational too, but I see most of it coming from the other side.

First of all YA isn't the house of God... neither is church for that matter... secondly, atheists believe there is no God so why would they be in a church?

We would not turn anyone away that visited our church....they would be embraced.
But here, you're not welcome....Just kidding...We need each other...Atheists to prod us with endless questions...and us responding by torturing you with truth.

My church certainly wouldn't.
Atheists have as much right to be here (or in a church if they wish) as anyone does.

I've been in churches -- for weddings and funerals. They didn't kick me out and I didn't even pretend to be "one of them".

They probably would. They say all are welcome, but if you're not part of any cliques then you'll either be ignored or kicked out.
