How long before the IRS cashes the check I sent them on April 18th...anyone know?

odds are they have deposited the check,, just hasn't cleared your bank yet,, but should this week for sure.

The IRS processes checks electronically as soon as the return is opened at the Service Center. Typically it will clear 2 - 5 days after you mail in your return. If you mailed yours on the 18th and it hasn't cleared yet, that would be highly unusual.

usually 2 weeks,if by mail.
a day or so, if you paid online.
Sometimes, might even take a month
(based on my personal experience)
