what does it mean when a dog licks your face?

so I express it by licking you.. "

( im not crazy, just thought I would had a little humor... )
but I am not 100% sure if that is right.. my dog has never told me,, but that is what I intetpret that it means. )

I really don't know. It seems to be a thing some dogs do and others don't. I have had dogs in the past that they did it every chance they got. The dogs I have now, they will only lick my face if I instigate it buy getting close to them and kiss them. Other than that the two males never lick me. The female is always licking my arms, chest or anywhere. I am guessing it must be a maternal thing and she wants to take care of me.

Well there are lots of things it could mean like (i love you) or she/he could be answering a simple question like yes or no possibly that they need help it depends when you look at their face and reaction

Body language is how dogs speak to those around them. From how their tail is carried, to the lay (or uprightness) of their coat, even where their ears are pointed... they're all cues to what your dog is thinking.
