It's not like we're the only religion with members ever known to make mistakes in our past. At least we move foward and try to better ourselves on a daily basis. If a member makes a mistake, why does everyone make it out like it's our whole religion that does or says certain things. We are humans, we make mistakes, the mistakes of men or women of our congregation shouldn't in any way reflect on our religion as a whole.

Well simpliy because they hate what they wrongly believe about the church and its members. But it is best to just let them think what they want in the end it only matters what you think about yourself and what God thinks. God is the only one who can judge anyone.

The original African Americans were in many accounts, Mormon and early on began to hold a teaching position. There is a lot of detailed history about this online.

It was spoken by Apostles and Prophets both, that the true Church of Christ would go through tremendous persecution in the latter days. Which Church fits that description today?

Early settling Mormons behaved in an unjust way how they were already as Gods, thus they had no fear of judging others or judging new converts. But this was not taught in the Word of Wisdom which instructed everyone, and all the Mormons, they were never to judge their neighbors lest they be judged.

During the time of Tribulations, even the Prophets spoke about the things to come related to the Devil's design. Churches who are not a part of the LDS denomination, yet who claim to speak for the Saints would spring up and spill forth all manner of wickedness.

Real cults, like the Order of Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints would be designed in an effort to destroy the true followers of Christ and the real Mormon religion off the Earth. Tempests, storms and afflictions from the media and elsewhere would lay siege to not only the Mormon people, but the temples as well.

All these great tribulations came to pass, not just one or two, but a great many. Yet later on their doctrine still stands, and the saints are among you to preach the Gospel.

What other Church would go through such turmoil, other than the true Church of Christ?

There would not be another, other than Latter Day Saints. Despite the actions of members, pray about the Book of Mormon and Holy Bible. It will then be confirmed to you, this is his Church.

Are you not the final judge of his atoning Gospel?

I think its partly because of the "Unknown" about religious cults. Sorry, but the Mormon faith is known to be a cult. I think if your Religion would allow other's from a different faith to be able to go inside your Temples, and learn what really is going inside your Temples, perhaps than people would have a greater understanding. What I do not understand is when you are a relative, and not belonging to the pre-dominant faith why is that they being selected out of participating in a family event? I do not think that this is right. When families belong to each other, and are from a different faith, why can't they go inside the Temple? I think for my part, I would love to join the Mormon faith, if I know about the Temple, than I do believe I would join. But since that is not allowed for non church members , it's the unknown. This is not bashing against your faith. It's just the truth of what I have learned about the Mormon faith.

Because they are prejudice, because they are brainwashed and I feel sorry for you that you don't realize it, (I was once a Mormon, I know this)The war in heaven story tells me this and when I was a Mormon, the war in heaven story was worse then it is now. It has been changed to make it sound better now that blacks can hold the presthood. Because ya'all look nice when you are out in public, but when you are behind closed doors your true self comes out. But thats in SLC, UTAH Mormon country 15 minutes away from the prophet himself. And its not what ya'all do wrong, its that most of the Mormon in my community that I grew up in thought they were already Gods and Goddesses. They really thought they were and were really judemental, to the Mormons themselves, you had to be a certain type of Mormon to even get a greeting from the rest of the click or you were an outcast thats how bad it was. Most of the mormons in my ward already thoguht they had evolved to being half way to Godhood. It was my experience that the mormons made mistakes, its that they thought they were more then human.

Why does the sky glow shades of blue? It is the mistaken human error for others to judge themselves, as well as fellow human beings. This has nothing to do with the doctrines of the Book of Mormon and Bible. If you pray upon the books, you will then have your answer. This is the true Church of Christ. Some of its members at times are not, yet that's their own faults, not the teachings of the Gospel.

Since Mormons reject the Trinity and mainline Christianity considers this as an essential teaching, then Mormons are written off as a cult, and not Christian at all. Mormons do not accept that Jesus is the second person of the Trinity, or that he is united with God the Father in heaven's throne.

Mormons believe that we can become gods just like Jesus.... a weird unacceptable answer.

Some things in our history have been distorted and twisted to seem much worse than it really is...

Some people are VERY afraid of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because our Clergy do not get paid and they want to be a rich televangelist someday.. getting money from the people who watch instead of supporting themselves honestly...

Some people are led by Satan to blow in the wind here and there until the ends of the Earth.. and their life...

Edit: for Angelika: Our Temples are open to the Public until they are Consecrated and made Holy.. we do not allow our Holy and Sacred things to be soiled by outside influences...

Edit for Iceprincess: Hmmm.. I didn't realize that I was racist.. nor the Church.. and I don't see evidence of it as you point out except as in the scriptures that some people were cursed for .. what .. something like 11 generations?.. so they are not cursed anymore (I think it has been a FEW more than 11 generations since the curse was put upon the latest ones).. and the ONLY person that I have personally baptized is an African.

It is called "intolerance".
Again, going back to the "Bible" which talks of not judging your neighbor...(to the "Christians" doing so)
Most major religions persecuted and exterminated people around the globe...
Be sure that you have the right denomination of people before including them in attacks of spirituality-"Reformed Church of Christ vs Mormons...
Also keep history separate from modern day "laws of the land"...
Just do your thing and don't worry about anyone else...another thing...go on a mission if you are so eager to convert...good luck, health, and enlightenment to you.

1. The freaky splinter sects give the main LDS Church a bad name

2. LDS missionaries go door-to-door trying to evangelize people. That pisses some people off.

3. Those who are familiar with LDS theology, but don't accept it as true, find it kind of loony (sorry for any offense there)

Because their religion is listed on apologetics websites as a cult. And their history is tainted.
Instead of Mormons dealing with these "problems", they deny them.
