I became a Chritian last year. Before that, I didn't like my boss. Now, I feel much better about him, because nowadays I pay more attention to heavenly things, and less attention to worldly matters, such as office politics. I love my boss, sorry, I mean I try to love my boss.

I read Pursuit of Holiness and Practice of Godliness by Jerry Bridges - it helped out a lot as a first year Christian.

I found that if you pray for people that you do not like, you will start to have a bit more compassion for them.

I set a huge one for myself years ago ... to have more patience. I'm still working on it patiently lol.

Seriously, I have made lots of progress, I've learned so many valuable lessons about patience and having it. I suppose the first goal I reached was to learn to fully listen to people without immediately responding to them. That was hard, but I found out so many things ... like sometimes people honestly don't want an answer, they just want to vent. And a lot of times people think more highly of you as a listener because they think you are really thinking about what they said, it makes them feel important.
