Maybe....although a lot of people got sick and died long ago, but people didn't know why...those people might have all had cancer, but like I said, at the time, they didn't have a name for it. But, I think it is probable that more people today get cancer due to people's environments....lack of exercise, poor diet, etc. Also the environment in general....all the pollutants in the air, etc.

While cancer is reportdly down by about 38% in 2006,,,,,,
Here are a few things to avoid:
1) Cigarettes, and 2nd hand smoke.
(lung, liver, heart, kidney, postrate, breast and some head neck and rib/shouldber cancers.)
2) Avoid large crowds where alcohol and cigarette smoke are present.
3) Avoid the SUN.... and TANNING BEDS - thereby, avoiding skin cancers.
4) If outside in the sun, wear protective wear. Long sleeves, hats,,, sun-screens, etc.
5) Just try to lead a healthier lifestyle,,,,,and avoid contact with certain animals, whos main diet consists of lamb, or lamb parts, and protein fillers...these fillers are full of cancer causing agents, that when an animal licks you,,,,they are spreading very deadly skin cancers. These are just a few of the things that are so shoved under the rug, and not talked about,,,,,that the public are un-aware...of....... BE SAFE, folks, and BE HEALTHY.

I think that long ago, people didn't know it was cancer. THey probably thought it was somthing else that killed you. But in the recent years, doctors have been able to test and discover it and call it cancer. So, yeah...

One reason is that there are more people. I agree that diet and such can play a factor, but anytime the population increases, so does disease and the number of people on death row. We'd be better to look at percentages of people, not just gross numbers.

I think it's a combo of everything...pesticides, food we eat and benzenes, heavy metals in the body, ect.. I take natural cellular defense to help w/ this- only know product to take heavy metals out of the body- Have heard from cancer patients it has also shrunk tumors and helped in fighting cancer.
