My little sister is concerned about her weight, help?

She is 5'1", 102 lbs, and 13 years. She feels a little fat but she also plays volleyball and has a lot of muscle. Is she overweight?

No. She is very healthy with the weight she is.

First, she's 13, so she shouldn't be too concerned...regardless of what her weight is! But the fact is, her weight is just fine, especially if she's muscular. That's way healthier than being skinner but less muscular! It means she's aerobically healthy and probably has a great metabolism, which will be great for her as she goes through puberty. She should keep up the good work and enjoy her volleyball.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

Of course not! If she has a lot of muscle, she's metabolically healthy. Fat is when you you have a lot of fat cells. I mean, muscle is better than fat right? Besides, she's too young to be worrying about that.

no. im 5'1 and im 103. im 17 but shes just a fast grower thats all. shes def not overweight at all
