a 3 mp camera will take great pictures to email friends. and at fun events, its no fun to break or misplace a camera so price is important. the extra mp are no help if the lighting is dim and it is hard to hold the camera still. blue rules.

If you're not getting too deep into picture taking, and if the pretty blue camera is a lot cheaper, go for it. Especially if it's just a knock around camera.

Here buy the silver one, I highly recommend it:
The best camera for under $200 is the Canon A550
* 7.1 Megapixel
*4X Optical Zoom
* Very good photo quality, noise levels low through ISO 400 (in good light)
* Well built for the price
* Very good performance
* LCD visible in low light
* Some manual controls
* AF-assist lamp, good low light focusing
* Good movie and continuous shooting modes
* Impressive software bundle
* Uses AA batteries; great battery life
* USB 2.0 High Speed support

Choose the 5mp camera. The higher the megapixel (mp) the better quality picture.
