no, i tend to remember their personalities and face more then anything else, but i still try not to form my impressions of people based solely on our first encounter because that's not really fair.

No, I don't like judging people on a first impression. I generally don't remember it even an hour later, I never pay attention to what people are wearing. In fact I just discussed it with my mom, talking about missing persons, that we were both so surprised people would usually know what they were wearing! We discovered neither of us could ever remember what anyone was wearing, even the people we'd seen that day. I'm absolutely fashion-blind, and I like it that way, it's so much better than to judge people by it! Only when someone is wearing something very outrageous, I may remember that a little longer but even then not in great detail. And in a positive way.

Great question...
I too have been thinking about this lately. I think that first impressions are lasting only in the content of 'establishment'. I prejudged two individuals by my first impression, however how I treat and respond to them now are way different than my initial response. The saying don't judge a book by it cover...I've learned this the hard way.

Absolutely!!!!!!First impressions speak VOLUMES!!!!
Especially if it's a first date or a job intereview.
Think about it, sometimes, the first impression is going to be the only one you get.
I take all 3 of the above listed in High regard.

Of course, luv. When you meet new people, whether you know it or not, your mind instictively measures the other person out. It normally tries to figure out 2 things: (1) if that other person is better than you, or (2) if the other person is a possible mate. Never undestimate the power of first impressions.

Yes, it does. However, it's not to say I won't give someone a second chance. Sometimes people are having an off day. But, usually if the person still rubs me the wrong way after the second meeting, then chances are I won't like them much.
