I use the dax in the red can but the only thing that pomades do is make your waves more visible and neat looking by weighing your hair down. Brushing ALOT is what developes your waves and don't let anyone tell you anything different. If you want to know how to get fresh 360 waves go to this site.....

Well it looks like she has used a curling iron. Start wrapping the hair at the top of your head around the curling iron and work your way down the hair. Do not wrap the very end of your hair in the curling iron so that it remains kind of straight. I'm sure there are plenty of youtube videos on how to do this.
