God "tests" our faith, to make it stronger and stronger, so that eventually there will be NOTHING that can overpower us. God wants us to have the same power that he has - power that can never fail.

When we go through rough spots in life, it reminds us who is in control and who we can turn to. It builds our character, faith, and makes us stronger.
