He tests people not to determine that which He does not know, but because God is working within our time frame.
One of His goals is to build character in us, opportunities for growth ...

God does know all things it is a misconcepetion that God test the faith of man like it will be some kinda shock to God at the out come he gives test to show you how you have learned not so you can show Him the point is in the very Question if God knows it all why test us thats the point He knows . we dont a test shows us what we know and what we need to work on the concept of a test is thought backwards by people God doesent even give a failing grade he just says ok lets go again this is what you need to work on and in most cases the person in the test needs only to call on the Lord in the first place and stop reliying on self to see them through secnce self always fails

Only against opposition can we get stronger. Imagine a young child learning karate. They progress up through the grades, gradually getting stronger, faster and more perceptive. As they improve, their faith in their own abilities also improves.
Sometimes we are thrown into a "fight" with someone we feel we can't beat. It is a "test" of our determination in that we will either give up and bow out of the progression up the ranks, or we will NOT give up, and we will somehow find the skill (or attribute) necessary to win the fight.
The more difficulties that are overcome through faith, the stronger and stronger that faith becomes, until it is almost unbreakable. The "test" (just like the gradings in karate) is for our own benefit, so that we can judge for ourselves how far we have come, and it will also give us an indication of what kind of difficulties we can face and overcome.
God "tests" our faith, to make it stronger and stronger, so that eventually there will be NOTHING that can overpower us. God wants us to have the same power that he has - power that can never fail.

He doesn't have to test our faith. Our faith is tested for our good, it develops us according to James 1:2-4. It changes our character according to Romans 5:3-4, and it helps us to see what is still on the inside of us, so that we will have the opportunity to change so that our faith will result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus comes according to 1 Peter 1:6-9. The goal of our faith is the salvation of our souls (1 Peter 1:9).

You are absolutely right - God doesn't need to "test" our faith because He knows - the problem is that we don't. When we go through rough spots in life, it reminds us who is in control and who we can turn to. It builds our character, faith, and makes us stronger. Take a look at what Paul says in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10.

Just beacuse there are idiots who beleive in God and describe him the wrong way does not have anything to do with God.
It makes people feel better when things get tough and if it makes some Mom whos baby has half a heart feel better why do you need to poop on it.
Live and let live. Get over it.

The usual answer is "faith". In other words, nobody really knows.
I do not believe God tests anyone. It is illogical.

No, that is no longer nicely matched with loose will. God knows each and each and every of the plausible paths someone might want to opt for and each and each and every of the outcomes of all those paths accurate through to the end of time yet God gained't be conscious of which decision a human being easily makes till that express has easily made the alternative even although he does be conscious of in the previous the guy includes out that decision. Omniscience would not recommend understanding the unknowable and omnipotence would not recommend doing the logically no longer plausible. Your little rant is depending on the concept that there is not any such element as loose will or loose decision, i for my section discover the excuse that "i can no longer help it i grow to be born that way" very offensive because it potential that human beings don't have administration over their movements. Your theory of omniscience is that God knows what we can do in the previous we even be conscious of what we can do and that would want to basically be actual if there is not any loose will, so I even ought to reject that definition of omniscience, for an same reason I reject the life of a destiny, such that if someone outfitted a time gadget it would not be plausible to flow ahead in time as there is not any time to flow ahead into, time is "created" in the present day we journey it. Jesus did not dedicate suicide he grow to be murdered, if I knew i grow to be going to be killed and that i did not something to stay away from that from taking position i'm no longer to blame of committing suicide lower than any regulation man made or divine, notwithstanding the guy who killed me might want to be to blame of homicide lower than man made and God's regulations. through no longer resisting the evil finished to him in simple terms made Jesus' movements consistent including his practise. i don't be conscious of the position you get your definition of suicide from notwithstanding it isn't in any dictionary I consulted. a million. The act or an party of deliberately killing oneself. 2. The destruction or wreck of one's own interests: that is professional suicide to contain oneself in unlawful practices. 3. human being who commits suicide.

Do you have a particular scripture? But since God knows all, then the test is part of the plan.

This life is a gift. He does not take it away from you when He knows that you are not choosing to spend eternity with Him. His Word is the same for everyone. We are here for God's pleasure and for His purposes. He has prepared the place for you in heaven, He paid the price...it is your call.
