I like frog legs very much but I only get in a mood for them about once a year. I once ordered 5 lbs of them from my local Whole Foods (the smallest package I could order) and for two people those lasted a while. Cooked like the French do with lots of garlic and butter is my preference, although country-style breaded and fried is OK too.

Frog legs here in Texas (and especially in neighboring Louisiana) are considered delicacies. And YES, they do taste like chicken...sort of.
Besides Creole cooking, a lot of Vietnamese places offer frog legs as part of their menu. I'm like the other posters - I can take 'em or leave 'em.
Between you and me, though - I'd rather chow down on some good turtle soup with sherry rather than frog legs. Now THAT is good eatin'!

i have basically eaten them once - they were crumbed, cooked nicely and scrumptious. I agree, like many unusual issues, they flavor like chicken. the idea-about them being on a frog is somewhat off putting, yet i might want to provide them a flow once more advantageous. i can't say a similar for snails although!

I have and I liked them. I don't think they taste like chicken. They taste like frog legs.

I had them in Louisiana and I think they were deep fried. It tasted like dark meat chicken drumsticks, but a little drier.
