He is mistaken. There is a verse in the bible that says, since we are forgiven, should we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid! It is not a Godly practice to keep on sinning, thinking all you have to do is say I'm sorry and God will forgive you over and over. This is shamelessly taking advantage of God's grace. If he is doing the same sin, he seriously needs to come before God, repent of it, and ask God to help him stop this behavior.
Committing the same sin time and again, and being upset about it and resolving not to do it again (even if you do), is much different than shrugging your shoulders and saying, oh who cares, I'll just ask forgiveness later. And God sees the difference.

Im sorry, right now I cant give you a quote from the bible but I do know of a story that shows where one person would keep sinning and keep repenting and it got too a point where God wouldnt forgive him because he was being repetitive. God doesnt help those who dont want to help themselves. I am not a very christian person like I should be but I know that I can not do what I do and keep going back to God and he is going to forgive me everytime.

I can maybe see a new Christian making a mistake, and then repenting. But it sounds like this is premeditated.
Mt 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
This isn't exactly what I was looking for, but all will be judged for our words. And
Pr 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

It's not alright with God if he doesn't accept God as his saviour and if he doesn't confess these sins before he dies. Otherwise, he can do as much damage as he would like and still go to heaven.
One of the reasons why I don't want to become a Christian.

repent--is a greek word in the scriptures that means to make an about face and walk away from that action. If this action continues he is not repenting. Don't enable him--just report his action to him. 'If we say we walk in the light as he is in the light but walk in darkness we lie and the truth is not in us."

if he calls him self a follower of Jesus then he needs to set a Christ like example, the Bible tells us that we can not serve 2 masters and that we need to do things that are pleasing to our Father in heaven. when he states these things are they putting a smile on Gods face.Jesus tells us in the book of Matt. what he thinks of a hypocrite

Not until he seeks forgiveness from God and then he is to repent(turn from the sins he is committing). One can not continue to commit the same sin over and over one must turn from sin to receive God's forgiveness and it must be done in sincerity which from what you have stated it is not being done.

Simple:
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Perhaps you should suggest to this person they think about their actions/comments first. I doubt they'd want others to say nasty things to them then just apologise and it's all better.
It seems to me like they don't actually mean their apologies.

No, this is not okay. It may be okay with God, but it hurts the people he does/says things to. He should love his neighbor, and try to take their feelings into account before doing hurtful things.

just goes to show ya that even Christians arent perfect, and I think he uses his religion and our Lord as a sort of a crutch. I wouldnt hang out with him if he can be hateful one second and then all serene and holy the next.
