I would say a 8 1/2 to a 9 (pain rating) I have 4 tattoos one on my breast, one on my lower back, one on my ankle and one on my foot my foot one is the smallest and OMG it hurt the worst!!! I had my ankle and foot done at the same time... he did my foot first then my ankle (which is triple the size) and I could barely sit through the whole thing I was actually relieved when he was doing my ankle that my foot was done! it was the most painful tattoo I had ever had done and it is the smallest! everyone is different but just keep breathing and try and think happy thoughts. I love my foot tattoo but it was extremely painful ( I have VERY skinny flat feet so that was part of the problem. I have absolutely no fat on my feet at all)

Like I said everyone is different but it hurts like hell.
of everything I have had done my foot tattoo was the most painful and I have had 3 other tattoos, my nose, belly button and nipple peirced and I have given birth!
it was painful but worth it!

Oh I was totally surprised at how much my foot tattoo DIDN'T hurt! Seriously. I got the outline of a star on top of my foot, down near the toe end. It really was totally bearable and fine. Apparently, the foot is a place that hurts a lot,,but seriously the pain is the least of your worries. It's fine. It feels like a strong vibration and pressure. It's not like a knife cutting you or anything horrible like that. this was my first tattoo so I'm not like experienced or anything. Good luck honey! I'd rate the pain of belly button piercing at around 8/10. I'd rate the tattoo at 3/10.

it hurts really really really bad!!! i have had both of my feet tattooed and no, taking loritab will not help. i did that for my second one just to see if it helped and basically it hurt just as bad as the first one did but i didn't care that it hurt. but when it started to wear off it still hurt and i was then aggravated that i cared that it hurt. on a scale from 1-10 i would say it was a constant 8. my first took 2 hours, the second took two and a half.

It depends where and what. Mine hurt on the right foot because of where it was placed--top off to the side. The left one was much better--it was more on the top. They are both small. Some places won't tattoo you if you've been drinking or other wise under the influence. So you may want to skip the lortab or just take one.

It HURTS! I have a dragon on my right foot. OMG that was the worste one I got. On a scale of 1-10 I would say 9. When it hits the bone...........that's the worst! Like the other person said, you really do have to work through it. I had my tattoo artist who was my ex wipe it alot, cause when they wipe it the pain goes away for a couple seconds and it hurts so good.

If you want a tattoo, don't take drugs before hand. It can thin your blood and make you bleed even more. Also, every tattoo artist I know makes you sign a document stating you are not drunk or on drugs before they will tattoo you. I suppose you COULD lie, but why would you? The artists asks these questions for your benefit, not his.

It hurts. A lot. If you're so worried about it you think you need to drug yourself up, don't get it done. That's ridiculous. Personally, I'm proud when I'm done getting tattooed, knowing I survived the pain. You just have to work through it.

well everyone is different but i laughed during mine and had no idea he had started it. i had a normal conversation with my co-worker and the artist. i was freaking out because i was afraid of the pain and i had a total crush on my co-worker (he came for support and held my hand!) i heard the sound and felt nothing and it is a rather extensive tattoo and it was color. i would say a 2/10 for the outline and a 3.5/10 for the coloring in, its more of a concentrated pressure and more annoying. if you want it, get it! don't let people talk you out of it and don't be your biggest enemy in this. be confident in yourself. you'll be able to dig deep within and get through it, but also if it hurts, don't try to be the champ, tell him when you need to!

My one and only tattoo is on my foot. It basically felt like a razorblade slicing through my skin. It hurt, but was worth it!
