It's official. Jeff Gordon is better than Dale Earnhardt...?

I know, it's not technically a question, i just love seeing rednexx get into an uproar. Best Answer goes to the most redneckian rant about how much Gordon sucks, and Dale Sr. is God's gift to the automobile.

No, Gordon not better than Dale, Sr. If Gordon raced in the late 70s and early 80s when drivers like Waltrip, Elliot, Rudd, and Yarbrough were in their primes, he would have puked. Earnhardt dominated in that era. It's impossible to compare that era to the restrictor-plate racing of today where a great crew and a few breaks can make a difference. I am not the biggest NASCAR fan, but even I know that without Dale, Sr. NASCAR would not be the huge sport that it is today. BTW, did you see Gordon driving around last week with #3?

Not really.
Earhardt started in the old school then into the modern era.
Gordon started in the modern era.
Gordon is in the top 5 as a driver,and has many years left,but then the "next super star" will come along and Gordon fans will feel the same way that Earnhardt fans do.

I am a huge Jeff Gordon fan, but I don't think he will ever be better then Sr. I mean yes he may break the records and everything but they both did so much for the sport and raced together for 8 years before Sr. died and they have such a great connection that they both should be considered amazing drivers which they are by most people. They race in different eras and did so much in different times where the rules and cars were different and the paychecks and sponsors were bigger and better. I just think that their is so much to compare between them that they both should be on the same pedestal.

Gordon only has 4 championships, compared to Dale Sr.'s 7! Dale Earnhardt raced against great racers like Richard Petty and Darrell Waltrip. Gordon races against losers like Kyle Petty and Michael Waltrip (if and when he ever qualifies for another race). Dale Sr. was known as the "INTIMIDATOR." Jeff Gordon is the "Rainbow Warrior."

Get over it! If Dale Sr. were still alive, Jeff Gordon would still be trailing "GOD'S GIFT TO NASCAR!"

I don't like Gordon. . .but he does have talent. He is my pick to hate just because it is fun. :)

And, btw it's not to hard to beat a man who has been dead for a few years. Would have been real interesting to see how this all would have went if the number 3 was still on the track.

i also hated earnhardt. If any of you actually remember him racing, the only way he ever won was because he was usually putting another driver into the wall!
Also , if you check your facts, you will see that during the years that both were racing, Gordon had more poles, wins , and championships. Look it up. go #24

Hell yea he's better and he didnt have to drive dirty and knock people off the track to get where he is. Maybe if he went around flipping the bird and acting all baddass like Earnhardt did people might respect him more.
