I want to go to the mall, but my parents always say they have something to do. I had to wear my sister's clothes because I CANNOT keep wearing the same thing each day!! And whenever I ask them when can we go to the mall, they lecture me about "reading and education"... How can I convince them to let me go to the mall?! HELP!

Grow up and stop whining.

Life is difficult, and with this attitude you will not be prepared to deal with the problems that come with adult life.

Stop being such a spoiled brat. Have you thought at least once that maybe your parents might have some kind of a financial problem and that is why they are not taking you to the mall? Maybe they dont feel comfortable telling you about it and maybe that is why they keep making excuses, even though "reading and education" is more important than the mall, they are right about that. The whole world doesnt revolve around you. Other people have problems too, that includes your parents. Your parents are not going to let you go without cloths, if you have to live with wearing your sisters cloths, then so be it. Its better than nothing.

Your parents do have a life - raising you! Do you have money to buy clothes at the mall? Can anyone other than your parents take you to the mall? Are they busy working and paying for the internet connection that enables you to sign onto yahoo?
You wanting to go the mall does not mean your parents should stop what they are doing. Try making plans to go in the near future by asking if they will take you to the mall when they get the free time to take you.

If your parents can't take you to the mall, it's obvious that they have a life. Really, I can understand what it's like to have nothing to wear. It makes you cranky. It's frustrating. See if you can go with a friend to the mall(and if her parents can carpool you), but get the cash from your parents.

exactly...quit whining...when your parent says i have things to do it probably has something to do with you. so you cant get to the mall and spend their money..you had to wear sissys clothes, be happy you had them. i have a son in college and a son graduating highschool in june...i have never spent more money on them in their lives. when you are on your own and making your own money.. are you gonna whine to yourself and say...when you gonna take me to the mall? your parents have a life hon, and you are the center of it. get over the new jeans at Macys and go make them breakfast. and tell them you love them. if anything... that just might get you to the mall

Perhaps you can sign an agreement, that if you excel in all your classes, they may reconsider about your going to the mall. Sometimes one needs to give before one is able to receive.
