No, you can not soak a fresh tattoo. This could cause the color to come out. Just shower and pat dry with a towel. NO SOAKING.

There are different methods of tattoo removal, Surgical excision, Dermabrasion, and Laser. (Excision, basically being cutting the tattooed skin out, Dermabrasion- "sanding" it off, and laser... burning it off... more or less.) I'm going to assume that you mean Laser removal, as it's the most commonly used method of tattoo removal. Laser tattoo removal can cost 150-500 dollars... per visit. Laser tattoo removal takes time, and it will take 5-10 visits, variables in cost include the doctor, the procedure used to remove the tattoo, and the size of the tattoo itself. Total costs could vary from 1,500 at least to.... quite a bit. from More colourful tattoos require more time to remove and are more expensive, black ink is cheaper. The overall cost will depend on the type of tattoo you have. There will still be traces of the pigment left over after your first treatment, and it can take six months to almost completely remove the tattoo. If this is too much time to have Strawberry where she is, you might also be able to get a cover-up tattoo, although, I'm not sure exactly how you would do that with little Strawberry Shortcake... A good tattoo artist could tell you what options you have in that vein. If all else fails, you could try and talk your girlfriend into getting Huckleberry Pie... to even the playing field a little bit.

Up until the first peeling is done (from 4-7 days, varying), there is a risk that soaking will damage the tattoo. The water can soften scabbed areas and allow for those to come out early - possibly taking ink with them.
You can shower up until then, but wait until 2-3 weeks for serious soaking in hot tubs & the like. The important thing is to not get prune-like until at least the first shedding happens, and avoid heavily chlorinated water until rather later. A friend didn't do this and had a terrible case of hives after hot tubbing; her tattoo was less than a week old.
Check with your artist regardless, as they probably have touch-up policies that depend on you following their instructions.

You shouldn't take a bath after being tattooed. You can shower, and run hot water over your tattoo to help set the ink in, then cold, then hot again. Otherwise, I'd wait to soak in a bath for at least 1 1/2 weeks. Wait until the peeling process is over.

I don't suggest taking a bath, but a shower is not so bad! Do NOT let the water hit directly on the fresh tat, however let the water run down it. Wait a day or so before you wash with soap. And use Lubradierm Cocobutter with Shea after you use the A&B ointment for the first 4-5 days.

Try to keep your tattoo out of the water for a few days at least. If you are going to wash it, use MILD soap and lukewarm water, and make sure to keep it moist with vaseline or a tattoo-goo. Whoever inked you should provide information that you can take home on how to care for your new tat.

you wanna try and wait a little bit before getting it soaked. when it scabs over make sure the scabs DON'T come off because that is where the ink is still sitting at. therefore if the scabs come off chances are the color will fade when that happens. I would say a shower is ok, but I would refrain from baths for atleast a couple weeks.

No you definitely should't soak the tattoo for at least first 10 days. Keep it clean, yes, but do not soak. You risk damaging the tattoo and you don't want that!!

You can take a shower. Stay out of the tub for a few days, though.
