Yes.
If you have learned what it is all about.
Most parishes require two years of classes before First Communion.
I am sure you want to know as much about your faith as you can.

I'm surprised you haven't had it already. Most Catholic children have their first communion ceremony around age seven.
If you've been baptized Catholic, you don't need a ceremony; just queue up next Mass and receive the Body. However, if you want the ceremony, talk to your parents and talk to the priest at your local parish church NOW. Between Easter and Pentecost is when children have their First Holy Communion ceremonies. If you want to participate in this, refrain from Communion until the day of your ceremony.

If you are Catholic, I'm surprised you haven't already. Most areas usually have 1st Communion for children at 7 years of age or 2nd grade.
You need to go to classes before you can receive Communion. At your age, you would go to RCIA-C ( Rite of Christian Initiation for adults- adapted for children). When you complete them, you will receive Confirmation AND the Eucharist at the Easter Vigil.
Classes usually begin in the fall, ask your parents to call the parish office.

Absolutely! To receive the sacrament of the Eucharist (called "First Communion" the first time you receive it), you only have to be baptized Catholic (or baptized Christian and make a Profession of Faith - pretty much, convert) and be at least 7 years old, which the RCC considers to be the "age of reason." (Having received Reconciliation is a good thing, but not necessary.)
So if you are interested, go talk to a Youth Minister or priest or someone in RCIA. (RCIA is usually for adults, but they'll know what to do.)

If you have been Baptized in the Catholic Church, attend Mass regularly and have made your first confession you should be able to receive your First Communion. You will have to go through Sacramental preparation classes to be sure that you understand what you are doing and why you are doing it, and that you realize that you are receiving the true Body and Blood of Jesus. I wish you the best and hope you get to receive Jesus very soon.
God bless,

According to the Bible, you can receive communion after you've become a born again Christian and you've examined your own heart.
Read John chapter 3 to learn about being born again and read 1 Corinthians chapter 11 to learn what is meant by "examining your own heart".
You might also want to see the link below to learn how to become "born again."

communion doesn't have to do with age. If I remember correctly, you have to go through a certain ritual before you can do it by yourself

All you have to do is take a few classes. (I believe it's called R.C.I.A) Then you get your first communion.
