would the baby be considered a child, or GRANDchild??

2007-04-29 11:41:56 · 20 answers · asked by johN p. aka-Hey you. 7 in Family & Relationships Family

The reason I ask, is a couple years ago, A father in Fresno or Clovis had sex with his daughters, and he also went bezerk and killed almost his whole family.

I think his name was Wesson, or something like that. He was found guilty, and I think he got life in prison. It just got me wondering what the relationship would be called.

This is just a question that I've wondered about since the killing a couple years ago. It was the worst mass killing in the history of the city. All I did was ask how the child would be related, and I get called every name in the book. Think outside the box people, and don't just ASSUME. The rest of you who answered, thank you.

By the way, I think this man was lower than snake crap, and I think he should die a long painful death. And I hope others will read the entire question before responding the way have here.

To joan, I am so very sorry to bring back the bad memories. I'm sure you went through Hell. I never realized that the question would bring out such bitter responses. It was just something that I often thought about since that killing a couple years ago. I can't see how any man could rape anybody at all, especially his own daughter. I don't know if you remember the incident in Calif. where the father killed his(I think it was) 8 kids. Then just piled the bodies up in one of the rooms.

in deciding familial relations, it is "correct" to use the primary relationship, that is, the closest one. IN such a case, the baby would be considered the man's child. Any other relationships are not truly considered. Although in genetic study, the possibility of multiple DNA donation would be noted.

Partly because there's also the remote chance the the daughter is not genetically his, and partly because for genetic purposes, the closest DNA mix is the most important, thus the highest known relationship is the one used.

It sounds to me like you're doing the right thing already. If he has no job and makes no attempt to come and see her then there's really not much hope. It doesn't sound like it's a priority for him. You've made the right decision by keeping her away from the drug house. Don't give up and let her go there just to try and force a relationship that it doesn't sound like he is that interested in. This guy sounds like a real loser and would be a very poor influence on your daughter. i know it's tough but she's better off without him. Is there someone else in your life that could help out in a fatherly type role like a relative, grandfather or someone like that? Having a male figure in her life may ease the pain. Hang in there you're doing the right thing.

it would be considered incest, illegal, and down right wrong!!!

and depending on what side of the family you are looking at, would depend on what title you would put on the child.. it would be both!! as wrong as that may be.

Whatever, the poor little kid would forever say, "My mom never had me -- my sister did." Bad joke.
