Limewire is actually an open source program.
There is a program called Frostwire that uses the Limewire source code to build their own client. It has all the functionality of the Limewire Pro software.

Look at the other programs before limewire.
What I hear is that limewire has a lot of spyware and other nastys.
Try Bit Comet. I use Azureus.
