No.
There is an underlying physiological cause of OCD: an imbalance of serotonin in the brain.
That said: you might be able to make yourself a bit quirky in a way that mimics the outward symptoms of OCD. Believe me, however, when I say that OCD is extremely emotionally painful for those who have it.
It is not simply perfectionism, anal-retentive personality / behavior as portrayed by hollywood. The people with OCD hurt, bad.

No you can't make yourself get it, as others have explained it is a chemical imbalance in the brain. Many people simply think that OCD is washing your hands 5 times and flicking switches 10 times, but this is not the case. My sister has OCD. Her obsession is buying Tropical Fish. Her husband has had to cancel her credit card and only give her AU$20 cash when she goes out. Otherwise she would buy fish online and always go into pet stores. Her old obsession was that she always had to eat takeaway food from a particular shop- she spent about $500 doing this before we found out about it. Now none of us eat this type of food, none of us mention it and we never drive past it with her in the car.
She has had to leave her job and has been dealing with this and severe depression for the last 8 months. Why would you be so stupid as to ask how you could get OCD? Grow up and have respect for peoples illnesses.

I don't think it is possible to "make yourself get it" or "catch it." However, I think it is possible to develop it. Many people are born perfectionists (I know I was) and as time goes on these people often become even more of perfectionists (I did). For me, this turned into full-blown anxiety, panic disorder, and OCD. If you have ever watched the series "MONK" on USA Network, you will see what I am like. Not always to that extent, but for example I once spent an entire class period (45 minutes) writing and erasing, writing and erasing, writing and erasing...four words. I finally gave up and typed the four words on the computer and printed it out as my title page for an assignment. It was pathetic. If you begin noticing you are developing obsessive traits or you feel as if it's interfering with your life, it is time to see a psychologist. Medicines and/or counseling can help. Good luck!

One word..."nope". You can't 'make' yourself get OCD. It is indeed a mental disorder. Look I personally think we 'all' have a little of OCD in us if you read the symtoms. Some more than others perhaps. I do wish you the best of luck...I 'am' OCD and only wish I could get rid of it. Check the link out below. Just don't freak out...it's ok to be OCD. Really.

No you can not make yourself get it. And it is not something you would want to get. OCD is brought on by a trauma or it could be genetics. It's hard for me to tell anyone how I became stricken with OCD because, I have no idea.

I dont think it is possible to get OCD but it is very easy to make things worse if you do have it....I feel the first thing we need to do is get a degree of acceptance, take proper medical advice, and tailor your life around your wellness. This may mean keeping people around you who understand your condition but dont enable it .Also dont be too hard on yourself.........all the best

Obsessive-compulsive disorder is a psychiatric/anxiety disorder. It is characterized by obsessive, intrusive thoughts and compulsive behavior. You cannot "make yourself get it". However, you can begin to act compulsively (constantly counting things, placing things in a certain order, hold rituals such as smacking yourself 3 times then scratching your head after sneezing).

Obsessive compulsive disorder is a mental disorder that can be brought on by anything, it causes you to keep everything you gain even things you keep for sentimental value, it also brings tick, if you wash your hands often or turn on a light switch 3 times till you think its right, or do something more than once. its a compulsion that make you keep and do things more than once. you only get it if you have impulse to want to do something more than once or buy things all the time, anything like this can bring on this mental disorder. so if you don't wish to be like this don't do things more than once, don't scrub too much only once is needed, don't keep too many things only the things you need.
