should girls shave their pubic hair?

i shave mine, but i am having second thoughts. i read that pubic hair secretes pheromones which act as a very powerful aphrodisiac, and also it is annoying to maintain.

It's a matter of personal choice. I spend lots of time at the nude beach during the summer, and see all sorts of pubic styling, from cleanly and totally shaved to "honey,let's get you a weed whacker".

I usually maintain a small landing strip or small inverted triangle, but occasionally go for the smooth look. Again, just a matter of choice depending upon how I want my pubic area to look. Since i'm naked more than many people I feel the need to look good all over; others, whose pubic areas aren't seen that often, may feel otherwise.

I've heard the pheromones theory, and different opinions on its veracity. I don't think that pubic hair is necessary for service as an olfactory enticement trigger...our labia and internal genitalia do pretty well on their own.

Why do you think so many guys look at porn? It's not because they are smelling of pheromones. It's because so many women in porn shave. That gives a guy the ability to see everything. Men are always attracted to women because of visual stimulation. Perfumes act as aphrodisiacs, but body odors don't usually attract men to women. Although, I have heard that some French men can be attracted to a woman's sweaty armpits. Maybe it's just American culture. It seems that Americans are always searching for a partner that doesn't stink and isn't overweight.

Uh, good question. From a guys point of view, you don't have to shave it all off. Just keep it well maintained down there. Guys should do the same thing. No one likes a jungle, and a perm is for your head.

Yes.. I do just becuase it is annoying to maintain and it is much better without all of that hair "down there." From my expierence guys don't like it to be a jungle down there. I think every girl should at least keep it "groomed" down there whether she wax, shave, or trim it ..

DEFINATELY. It looks MUCH sexier, basically having hair done there is gross, we're not in the 70's anymore. Shave it all off or just keep a landing strip. Ideally wax it because it makes it softer and smoother. No man likes it to be hairy.

I think it's perfectly fine to tidy up the area if needed, but I would never remove it completely. If a hairy vagina is the worst of a person's problems then they should consider themselves very fortunate.

And yes, you are right about the pheromones.

It's icky to think that a guy would be attracted to a totally hairless vagina!

Some guys may like it, but personally I say no. There's obviously a reason why hair grows down there, and that is because we need it to protect from getting infections. It is also very difficult to try and keep up with shaving since it grows back so fast.

You should only shave your bikini line area, if you wanna take the risk of getting red bumps on your line area. Put on a swimsuit and shave where the line ends. Also if you shave the hair down there it will grow back really fast.
