It depends on the regulations of the State or Province you are in! Here in Ontario,Canada...we can look after 5 children (other than your own) before you need a license...under the age of 5. Or in this formulation- 1 child under 1 years of age. 2 under 2 years of age. 3 under 3 years of age. 4 under 4 years of age and 5 under 5 years of age! So you can have up to 5 children...but of that five, only one can be an Infant! Anything beyond 5 children requires a license/per household or Premise. Again these kinds of laws will vary from State to State or Province. Consult with the appropriate Department or Ministry of Social Services! theerrander.

I comprehend...this is thoroughly absurd! I artwork in an extremely, marvelous day care interior the toddler room...our waiting record is extensive. We use all of those issues and our dad and mom advise us consistently. regardless of if or no longer infants get floor time and get held and enjoyed on has no longer something to do with the kit it is interior the room! It has to do with the staff and how they run the room! Very not often does a toddler even play in a style of things for longer than 15-20 min. as their interest spans are not that long besides. and additionally you're precise with regard to the older infants "bothering" the greater youthful infants. you are able to't avert each accident and each now and then the prevention lies in removing between the youngsters from the placement - and each now and then meaning putting them in a swing or a bouncy or a mattress to visual demonstrate unit a cellular. whilst one group of infants in our room is snoozing, we are nurturing the different teenagers, playing with them, feeding, giving floor time, etc. We examine memories as a collection (definite, this is conceivable with a collection of infants) and sing songs and do lots and many issues as a collection too, little infants and older infants alike. in spite of the shown fact that it is not conceivable for each infant to have undivided interest consistently. many dad and mom those days think of that's terrible to no longer enable your toddler be self sustaining and play on their very own...it fairly is sweet for them! you attempt your best, yet you are able to't get to each crying toddler precise the 2nd they start up crying, yet as quickly as we will not get to them precise away we are speaking to them consistently, allowing them to be attentive to we are there...we are consistently interacting no count the place they're interior the room - on the floor, interior the exersaucer, bouncy, regardless of. it is not any longer a unfastened fee ticket and that i think of your director is INSANE! She's basically going to make it harder on your infants! particularly some those products are developmentally perfect for this age group! toddler care interior the day care putting isn't what stay-at-homestead mothers make it out to be...infants get interest and care in case you p.c.. a good one. yet we use a similar techniques at homestead that dad and mom use! after all, inspite of a ratio at 4:a million (this is what that's the place i'm too) we in straightforward terms have 2 palms apiece...it is not any distinctive than having quadruplets. good success - somebody could desire to hearth your director!

It varies by state to state. You can call the state agency that regulates child care in your state, (look in the phone book under "state agencies.")
In my state, four children or fewer is baby-sitting. Five and over is day care and triggers state regulations and inspections.
