It's early on in my exercising and eating healthy stage (I just started last Monday) but I feel like I am eating too much! I eat a big breakfast :

1-2 pieces of turkey bacon
1 slice of 7 grain toast w/ strawberry jam
Kashi cereal w/ banana

and then lunch varies, and I eat carrots and apples for snacks, or whole wheat bread with peanut butter

dinner usually consists of chicken, a vegetable, salad, lean meats

and plenty of water

why do you i feel like i am eating too much? this trying to lose weight stuff is really discouraging, i feel like i won't lose it. i know it takes time, trust me. i understand that, i just have a hard time knowing i will be able to lose the weight.

eating healthy sometimes can feel like eating too much (especially after undereating) only because of the 5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day.
dont be discouraged, stick to it and your body will adapt.

DONT GIVE UP. Like you said, with time it will come. Add some exercise into you daily routine. Give at least 30 minutes of cardio nothing heavy just ride your bike or take a fast walk for that time frame. I just started my diet this Monday also. I have a bet with my mom that I will lost 15lbs in 30 days. I have already lost 7lbs. I use the Mayo Diet Trick. See website below.

Gaurantee to lost 10lbs in 10 days. It is for heart patients that have to lose weight for surgery.

You need to eat lost of food to stay healthy. You're doing fine. You need a nice big breakfast in the morning so you don't feel hungry all day. Your food choices are wonderful, keep up the good work! If you want to track your progress and see just how much more or less you need to eat, you can do what I do and go to www.mypyramid.gov. I enter everything I ate in the day and it tells me how many calories I took in, what food groups I need to eat more of, and basically keeps track of your progress. It's totally free, and I like being able to see how well I'm doing. Give it a try!

I don't know, that does kind of seem like a lot for breakfast if you are eating that every day. I mean, that's like 500 calories...which I think would be fine if you ate two smaller meals for lunch and dinner. Maybe just try eating less for breakfast, but still something with a lot of protein to keep you full for longer, like oatmeal or a luna bar or something.

Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/caloriecalclb.html This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.

Nope, you are doing great! You feel full because you are eating foods high in fiber and protein, which satisfies you more than typical high-sugar/low-nutrient foods. Keep it up and you are guaranteed to see results with this plan.

(My current eating habits are similar to yours, and I felt the same way in the beginning. Maybe Americans are forgetting what "full" feels like... but anyway, its one month later and im ten pounds lighter! so dont worry)
