Of course. The BMWs in Germany are cheaper than other countries (not give-away-cheap). A second hand BMW M3 shouldn't be more than 2000 -3000 euro. I can't tell u exact price for new cars, but I know for sure that the german cars are cheaper in Germany. But the shipping can cost u a little extra.

if you live in the US, then with everything you have to pay for it, no its not going to be cheaper.
The issue is, can you buy a car in germany that meets US emission, and DOT laws?
There are many cars overseas that cannot be legally titled in the US because of these issues. Lets use the example of the 1-series. The UK has the hybrid auto stop, and it cannot be legally titled in the US, because it doesnt meet safety standards... so you could spend gobs of money trying to get it here, just to end up with a car that isnt street legal.
Shipping a car from germany runs from around $4000-20,000 depending on location. Add to this shipping insurance, port pick up fees, and youre not saving anything.

Basically yes. However there are some items to consider.
Shipping from germany, import taxes and duties.
To over come some of these things years ago a requirement to import a vehicle bought overseas required you to have maintained an address there and have the vehicle for a year before bringing it in. This allowed you to by pass the import duties and taxes.
The German mfrs used to offer a customer the ability to purchase the vehicle and take delivery at the factory, use the vehicle in europe (while on vacation or staying for extended business purpose) and then they arranged shipping when you returned home. I'm not sure this option exists anymore.

well, Germany is the intellectual home and mecca of bmw and mercades-benz, but europe forency if euro, which if about $1.5=1 euro.
But for your question, it will be cheaper in germany but germany is more advanced and has nicer and newer models, but if you can find the exact same model and year and everything, yes it will.
Although, if you want to improt it to usa you have to spend around 3-10 grand main and or uni framing it to us's standard. including the shipping, if you are in the us, I recomend to just buy from here.

BY the time and dollars extra NO NO NO ..........those cars do not meet the entry requirements ... smog level.,, gas mileage,,you will have to change the bumpers and whatever as well as you have to pay import taxes... a used car from Germany has the same problems ----- Buy American and save yourself a bunch of headaches and dollars ...... those grey cars are a built in law suit when you decide to sell --- you are the importer and the responsible "company" should the second owner ever get in wreck and figure out to sue for "faulty brakes " or some other BS (barely stable) phoney case to get you to return the money he paid for the grey car.... and please do not doubt and of this as it is all true ............

No not really beacause you will have to pay tremendous shipping costs, and plus you wont have a chance to test drive it so you might get a lemon. just spend the money and buy one in America. If you're worried about price, just buy Ford Focus, you dont need a BMW.

More expensive here since we have regulations by the EPA that have to be met, which means changes to the stock German vehicle. Same sort of safety features that might not be necessary in Germany
