It's been my past experience that when people come in here to say stuff like that , they are simple wanting to cause an arguement.
They ( you ) don't really believe what you typed because if you did, you wouldn't waste your time on the religion board saying it.

Although I too am an atheist...
Humanity as a whole has become a force of nature...
We can tair down mountains, and forrests, alter the atmosphere, destroy whole animal species...etc...

If we can figure out a way to live outside of the Earth, we might be a great deal more important in the grand-scheme of things than the entire universe might be capable of withstanding...(certainly, that is a big "If"...)

Hey!
I'm not religious, myself. I do not believe in any creator gods.
I believe humans work miracles on Earth by force of will. And anybody can make a difference. Humans are important, more important than anything else in the universe. So, you are also calling me delusional....
I say, that's not nice and shallow of you. You have your beliefs, I have mine, other peple have theirs. And let's leave it at that, no name-calling, no "I know better because I know better" kind of nonsense. This is how wars ultimately start.
Let's just allow each other to think on their own, thank you very much.

God created the heavens and the earth. Since God existed before He created everything you can observe, you need to set God to minus infinity. And when everything you can observe is no more, you need to set God to plus infinity.

Guess what, you can not check or debate my numbers. Because if you say God is nonsense, anything said about God is true.

If what I say is delusional, then how is yours not? The term religious is unnecessary.

I don't believe in god, but I disagree.

Humans ARE the grand scheme of things. At least to other humans.

If you don't like it (humanity), opt out.

people need to make sense of the universe and want to be important. even if it is as a pawn in some game played by those they cannot see. beleif is faith, faith is trust. if you don't trust your wife to not sleep with another man or vice versa. you have no beleif in your marriage, faith in your wife or trust in another not to sleep with her.

think on this for a while. it is not neccesary to emote those who do not beleive what you do but do not mock them either. show them your riches in what you beleive some will follow some won't but you will always be true to yourself at least.

yes, when will people begin to understand that....when will they see that it is the SOUL that is important, not the body. the inside not the outside.
but god does exist, because if god did not exist, we would not exist. god is the whole picture. the everything. the entire universe as a whole. its like looking at water - water is not the hydrogen, it is not the oxygen, it is both of them. - and when you take that, and the air that surrounds it, and the objects within the air and the world or earth as a whole connected to space and everything else - god is the everything, the entirety of it all. god is god.

You and I know that (although the oldest human remains are actually 195,000 years old) ... but biblical scholars will tell you the earth is no older than about 6,000 years, that dinosaurs lived simultaneously with man, and that any evidence to the contrary is lies. It's hard to argue with that kind of evidence. ;)
