I attempted to rent "Stranger than Fiction" twice and both times, my DVD player would not load the DVD. I was told by the clerk at "Hollywood Vide", that it's a "manufacturing" flaw. Is this true? It seems that the DVD's for rent would be compatible with all players.

Well The clerk was right. But this happens very rarely. It all depens on the dvd brand you buy. Its like the playstation 2 by sony computer entertainment america. It will only play a certain kind of dvd. This is what is wrong with the world today because if it doesnt return you cant return for something else because of piracy. So this is what america has to fix. If you make a product make sure it works.
