I live in California and it isn't exactly like the t.v. shows portray it. It is to me, just like any other state or city that has the good parts that are attractive and the bad parts. It is just that people maybe don't asccociate the bad parts with California. PLaces like Hollywood and Beverly Hills are gorgeous on a sunyy day, but there is so much traffic that it kind of ruins the feel. T.v. shows like the O.C made newport beach sound like the snobbiest place ever. Basically yeah i have lived there and it is posh and rich and up market but there are also bad parts and not EVERYBODY that lives there is rich and goes to parties every night. Laguna beach: the real O.C and the hills are hardly real. Situations are staged and people don;t go to clubs and holidays all the time. If it wasn't for the t.v shows i bet all those people would stay in in front of the t.v watching snl. Don't get me wrong i loved all of those t.v shows but they are just not very realistic. California is like any other place in the world. There are rich people, poor people; the happiest families and the saddest. That is my opinion everybody has a different opinion and from living here for 8 years of my life i have many reasons to back this up.
