thats how many calories people in coma get daily!!!
you are gona slow down your metabolism which will make fat loss in future soooo much harder.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

Why not join Slimming World. You can eat lots of filling food and still lose weight. I joined on 23rd January and have lost 1 stone and 2lbs so far. I still have a long way to go but it's not like proper dieting even cos you can eat so much and also have treats!

go to www.tesco.co.uk/health and go to diets, they help you out and its not too expensive- infact I think it may be free.

You will need moral support whatever- this is where weightwatchers comes in useful if you find the best group for you you can make friends even if you only get to see them once a week, and they can help and inspire you to get to your goal.

Good luck though, in my experience weigh loss takes like 200% of your time and energy at first, then after its had its kick it gets easier until you get to the last pound or so. (then its another little push until the end!)

A 1k calorie diet is NOT healthy. You actually need to eat MORE in order to lose weight. When you work out your body burns more calories. If you don't give your body enough healthy food to fuel up for a workout, it will hold on to the calories it does receive.
I belong to a free weight loss website that has nutrition info, exercise routines, etc and numerous articles on fitness nutrition, motivation and how to lose weight in a healthy manner.
I hope you'll join and if you do, please tell them Honeybea referred you.
Thanks!

I am also on a diet and feel like the same thing. all in all i wnat to get back to being 8 stone lighter, esp since i put on the 3 and a half stone i lost about 18 months ago.

i suggest what my nutritionist told me. lots of water. fruit & veg. watch your carbs! also, have a look at things content - work by fat - per 100g - if it has under 4g fat per 100g its good, if it has 3g of fat per 100g, its fab! also, i did work outs and sadly, it does take exercise... but the feeling when you weigh yourself and see the lbs come off is invigorating! feel free to email me if you want to get in touch and find someone to 'hold your hand' and talk to!

I know all about diets and dieting. Why not go to weight watchers? research has shown that you are 10 times more likely o lose weight at a slimming club than going it alone. If you seriously want to do it .....GO!!!
