Hot beef sandwiches:
Boneless Chuck Roast
1 can Campbell's Beef Broth
1 can Campbell's French Onion Soup
Put everything in the crock pot and cook it all day long. The meat will be very tender and juicy. Serve on hoagie rolls and use the drippings for au jus to dip them in. Very Yummy!

BBQ pulled pork!
3-4 lb pork shoulder roast
1 large onion sliced
2 T Worcestershire sauce
water
One bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce (mine is cattleman's)
toasted buns
Place roast, onions, and Worcestershire sauce in crock pot. Add water to cover. Cook on low for at least 12 hours. Remove roast and discard the water (but save the onions). Fork shred the pork getting rid of the fat and bones (actually the meat will be so tender it will slide right off the bone as you remove it from the pot!). Return the meat and onions to the crock and add one bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce. Cook for one more hour....then enjoy!!!
It makes a good amount for food. Perfect for football Saturday or Sunday!!!

I have found a ton of great recipes on the Food Network website, I also go to allrecipes from time to time.
I save leftover meat from other dishes, freeze them in zip-loc bags and use those in the crockpot with whatever veggies I'm in the mood for. Beef stew in the crockpot is awesome, they sell seasoning packets in the spices/gravy section of the store if you are a lazy cook like me.
Things I like to do when I'm cooking for a crowd is buy some sliced ham from the deli, dump it in the crockpot with some BBQ sauce and spices, maybe some sliced onion. Set out some big rolls, and your guests can grab a sandwich whenever they want. This also works well with sloppy joes instead of BBQ ham. Or package of those little frozen meatballs, some spaghetti sauce, serve with sliced mozzarella cheese and sandwich rolls, yummy.
Hope that helps!

Chili, stew, any soups, fondue, any kind of fondue, cheese, chocolate, Spanish rice, chicken cattatori, spaghetti sauce, nacho cheese sauce, the sauce for beef stroganoff. Cook the egg noodles separately, and add to the sauce, stirring together in a bowl. So much more! Have fun with your crock-pot, and cooking! Never be afraid of it!

put in either a pork or beef roast add potatoes carrots and onions in cover the bottom of crock pot with water not too much and let cook. right before you serve it you can pour a can of beef gravy over and salt and pepper to taste.
Or put in a roast and pour in a jar of salsa let cook and serve it with Spanish rice{ you can use boneless chicken breast for this one too
put in some ham chunks and navy beans, season with 1/2 onion diced, salt and pepper and 1Tablespoon garlic powder cover to the top with water. {only fill pot half way with bean because the with swell way up. serve with corn bread and fried potatoes

RecipeZaar.com has an entire section on crockpot cooking.
Personally, I like to use it for anything that I would put into a dutchoven and cook for more than an hour. Then I don't have to worry about the oven getting too hot, too cold, getting bumped, etc.

A good stew is simple to prepare and the longer it bubbles away the better it will taste.
