The beaches close at 10. LA County Parks & Rec comes by in their trucks, saying the beach is closed. If you hang around for too long or are too loud, then LAPD comes by. That's how you close a beach.

All beaches close at 10. You can't "close" a beach but if the police catch you you'll get a fine. JohnP, probably as long as it takes you to come up with a good joke.

I'm sorry Venice is disgusting. It has a lot of druggies performing, filth, smoke, and dirt, and indecency. Was just there, and not at all impressed by it.
As for the sand and ocean, now that is beautiful.
The rest is an eyesore.

I could never figure how to close a beach. Do they have to drain the ocean every night? If so, how long does it take to refill it?
