... go to hell if he repents, but the people he murdered will go to hell if they didn't believe...

How is that justice? Sounds to me that its more like god having a childish hissy fit because someone doesn't believe in him.

Yeah, sounds like it skyclad. Its totally disturbing. I guess the Christian god isn't all that big on justice, he just wants to whine because people don't believe in him.

chocka, darling, stop being so condescending little one. You might get a warmer reaction. You invalidated everything you said by being so condescending dearest.

abdul, if I gave them the ability to do that then I have no one to blame but myself and shouldn't behave like a child just because I didn't like it.

Oh Hannah, I fully agree that its all man made. Including gods very existance. In that he doesn't exist, he's just a myth.

Yeah, Sister, me too. The more I learn about Christianity and Christians, the happier I am that I'm Atheist.

It's not justice. It's a not-very-well-thought-out fairy tale. Anyone who takes half a minute to examine the idea of "Heaven" and "Hell" and who gets in will realize that there is no justice in either place, and that they just don't make sense at all.

nicely, IF there's a splendid being who's all-understanding and totally basically, that does no longer be the case. persons like Bush and Cheney might smash out with mass homicide on earth in spite of the undeniable fact that it incredibly is going to be a diverse tale in an afterlife. My guess is on them coming returned as black lesbians in Africa. keep in mind the myth of the best Samaritain? My guess is that if JC got here returned, he'd be preaching approximately sort gay human beings.

Anyone who truly repents (not just saying so) will go to heaven according to the Bible. That's due to the grace God gives us in allowing time to repent. We just never know when that time will be up (when we will die), so it is prudent to believe before we are mass murdered. We all have the same opportunity in life, but some put it off, thinking they will repent later when it's more convenient. God doesn't always give us that time. As to the murderer, why wouldn't God hear his prayer of repentance. Should God go back on His promise and not forgive him? The only sin that sends anyone to hell is rejection of the Holy Spirit when He comes to you with the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. All other sins can be forgiven, once you repent.

According to Mormon beliefs, the two unforgivable sins are denying the Holy Ghost (also known as speaking blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, as mentioned in Matthew 12:31) and the shedding of innocent blood (as part of the repentance process is to provide restitution to those you have sinned against, and since you can never under your own power restore someone's life to them once you've taken it...).

As for God condemming those who did not believe, it depends on whether or not they accepted God's words while in mortality (or would have accepted/rejected if they'd heard, for those who were, through no fault of their own, in a situation where God's words weren't avaliable or incomplete during their mortal life). Those who would have accpeted (but couldn't) will be given an opportunity to receive the Gospel and repent (see the 3rd and 4th chapters of 1st Peter (KJV) for some interesting reading on that).

Jesus went to the bibles hell...the grave...
and that is where all of mankind is waiting for the resurrection.

God never wanted anyone to burn forever. That is a lie of satan. God says if you dishonor him and refuse to serve him you DIE...not FLY or FRY...you just DIE

Only God is the judge. No one knows if any of us will get everlasting life. But the ones doing Gods will are closer than the lawless ones refusing to love and worship God.

Have you ever considered that religious doctrines could be the teachings of men rather than God? Take the evangelists on the television; most of their sermon is talking about themselves, the events of their day or seeing Jesus in their dreams.

for the price that Jesus paid for our freedom ,God has the right to require a cover charge to enter heaven. and it because of people like you that build the faith of so many Christians.

It absolutely incenses me, and this idea says much more to me about the sickness and/or gullibility of the speaker than it does about any Divine out there.

That's why it is written, " fear not that which can kill the body ,rather fear that which can cause the soul to perish". Your actually asking is, why does " non belief " trump murder as the more serious sin. Well it's His house , His rules.

If you gave life to every person on earth and people refused to acknowledge your existence what kind of hissy would you throw? Go read the Bible...
