It is a complete waste of time and money because all Chrysler caravans have leaks, in the evaporator assembly, the compressor and the high pressure hose.
If you still want to do this have someone check the pressures, both side the high and low and if there is some freon in the system just add your freon and oil to the low side and watch the readings.
If there is no freon in the system forget it.

Honestly, don't bother. I had a '93 Voyager, which is the same exact van rebadged. You'll have to recharge it every year and it's almost impossible to find the leaks on these things.
Recharging a/c systems is actually pretty dangerous. R-134 is a bad chemical to mess around with. Most people don't bother doing it themselves since the process is costly, time-consuming, and unsafe for people who aren't trained.

You can buy a R-134 recharge kit from a parts house, or have a Mechanic do it.
