Air Sickness??

Question

Why dont you see anyone being air sick on planes any more??, i can remember seeing people feeling ill etc years ago, but no one seems to suffer from it any more, has something changed

Modern airliners with their electronic control systems fly so smoothly it's like being on a coach trip. There are some occasions when the flight is a bit bumpy, but generally the pilot has a good idea of where storms and turbulence are ahead so they can divert around them.

Actually a big factor was that in the early years of the jet age most Airline pilots were ex fighter jocks so they were used to making quick maneuvers to avoid enemy fire etc. So when they started to fly for the airlines they were still making sudden adjustments to the flight controls causing passengers to get sick. These days more airline pilots are coming from civilian flight schools and are taught to make small precise adjustments to the flight controls. This comes from many of my "old timer" pilot buddies both ex Air Force and non military as well as first hand experience.

lol you know sumthing i asked myself the same question the other day, i used to have the worst air sickness ever, even before the plane would take off i would get sick, now i fly sit watch tv, eat, the whole deal and i dont feel the least bit sick, i think they put something in the oxygen air, or somehting like that

Well people fly more than they used to, maybe that has something do with it. But I feel like I'm going to get sick everytime, I never do but I get close..lol. I have to put the window shade down and not look outside or I will for sure puke ! :o)

i still get air sick and travel quite a lot , but i watch what i eat before hand and get SEMITEL tablets from doctor

I think they all take sickness travel pills.
