Islam
And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 2:24-25) this is stated in the bible and in the Quran there is a verse similar to this When you see people engrossed in mockery of Our Signs, turn from them until they start to talk of other things... (Qur'an, 6:68)
please lets just see the similarities between our religons and let us try not to argue for one another just this one Q

I am a Roman Catholic. We believe that one must be charitable as well as religious. In fact, without charity and an active effort toward making the world a better place, religious rites alone can lose much of their point. This is a concept that is also shared by many other world religions. Contributing toward the relief of those who suffer is not merely a Catholic idea, but a universal one that finds expression in many different belief systems. Jews, Muslims, Catholics, Protestants, and many other religions practice charity, and in that, we find common ground.

There are some people who have written in reply to your question that they do not have a religion, because they have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, etc. Might I ask how they define religion? Religion is the process of progressive Revelation from God to humankind. It manifests and takes different forms throughout the ages, depending upon time and understanding. God's religion is changeless, but our ability to comprehend it grows. Therefore it has appeared in progressive stages, each giving a fuller revelation than the previous. These stages have many names, such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam and the present stage in the process of religion, which is the Baha'i Faith. If one truly has a relationship with Jesus Christ, one is a follower of the one true faith of God, which has no beginning and no end, and which has many names. To follow Christ is to follow the teachings of Christ, and these are the same as the teachings of every religion: love thy neighbour, prefer others to yourself, be kind, just, tolerant, loving, helpful, patient, etc.

Anyway, here's my contribution:

Baha'i Faith:
"Wish not for others what ye wish not for
yourselves; fear God, and be not of the prideful. Ye are
all created out of water, and unto dust shall ye return.
Reflect upon the end that awaiteth you, and walk not
in the ways of the oppressor. Give ear unto the verses of
God which He Who is the sacred Lote-Tree reciteth
unto you. They are assuredly the infallible balance,
established by God, the Lord of this world and the
next." (Baha'u'llah, The Kitab-i-Aqdas, p. 73)

A man came before Hillel and said that he would convert if the rabbi could teach him the whole of Torah while standing on one foot.

Hillel said "Do not do to others that which is hateful to yourself. All the rest is commentary. Now go and study."

This is the source of "the Golden Rule," which Christian-influenced cultures have adopted. (I am curious if it went across into Muslim as well.) The difference -- and this is significant -- is that the subsequent emphasis is on personal study. In Judaism, it's the responsibility of each person to study and learn for themselves in dialogue with each other and the tradition. In contrast, Christianity puts the central responsibility on the leadership to teach the followers. How does Islam consider this?

There is good in all religions. No one is disputing that. Jesus is another story though. Some believe he was God's son and some think he was God. Some don't think he was anything while others think he was a great prophet.
But Jehovah's Witnesses believe he is our savior, he died for our sins and he our Messianic King.
We have to keep our religious beliefs pure and our love for the Most High God Jehovah cannot be diminished.
Jehovah's people do not come here to fight. They come here to save and be kind to those with no hope.
There is hope and a way out of this depressive state we all live in.
All it takes is knowledge and faith.

I wonder why it is so hard to answer your question! Everyone seems to want to "down" the other person's belief even when offered the opportunity to dialog. Why should this mean "war"? I thought that appreciating each other would mean "peace." You have quoted two very good texts that should remind at least Christians and Muslims that we have been asked not to fight but to share! And you are right, we have lots of things in common to share--most things, in fact.

Islam is another religion from the Abraham root.. Islam has many things in common with christianity and judaism.. the only thing that's not in common it's the kaaba in the mecca and believe in the geniuses, and according what I have read.. in the islam there are some people who think christians and jews will go to the heaven if they believe in Allah and the last day.. but this verse was abrogated.. there is confusion about this topic!! but anyway Islam and christians should be in dialogue

I agree. What is the point in trying to prove that the other religion is wrong?

We should be able to accept similarities and differences.

Above all, we should respect other people's choices for the beliefs.

Where is it written that a man must be religious, i am not religious, that is a man made word, and yet i believe in the one true God. The way of man leads to death but the gift of God is eternal life.

Peoples attack who fellows other religions because they are afraid of everyone is different from them.
They don't know the good things about the others and see only their ugly and bad actions. It's simpler and it is a good reason to hide the own fear and the ignorance about the world they can't control or destroy (it's different and all that it's different, they think, afraid, is to destroy.....)
