I bought it awhile ago and put it away. Now that I decide to use it it doesn't work so its too late to take it back for exchange. Any thoughts on how to fix the can or nozzle. It shouldn't be clogged because it was never used.

Yes, the can is defective, take it back.

That is truly SOOOOO maddening.

If it is latex soak the tip in HOT soapy water. If oil based in paint thinner. Use a pin or needle to open the hole.

Try this first and after soaking.

Shake the paint like crazy, try to spray, turn upside down and spray.
Some times the pressure will open it up.
