How old is she? If she's a toddler, it's not a problem. I was worried about the same thing with my first child but the doctor told me not to worry, it might look like flat feet, but babies have FAT feet.

This was interesting. All these years it seems I should have been worrying over MY flat feet! Actually, I am an adult, grown kids even, have flat as a board feet and never had a foot problem in my life. I played basketball in school for 4 years, tennis up into adulthood until shoulder problem, and I walk the hills of Greece every year. Maybe I am one of the lucky ones but honestly I can't think of one single problem I have had with my feet...ever.

Take her to a foot doctor. She might need to get customized soles for walking correction. If cost is a problem, try orthopedic shoes. I recommend Birkenstock. You can find pretty cheap to reasonably priced ones on Ebay (www.ebay.com). I have flat feet too and it seem to have gotten worse over the years. So if you leave your daughter with improper footwear any longer, she may get sprains in her feet, foot and back pain, blisters, and other problems. Feet are to last us a lifetime therefore we should treat them nicely!

my daughter has the same problem, I had to take her to a specialist they had to have her fitted for inscerts for her shoes, they didn,t really work for her, and cost like $600
they told me that cheaper shoes will make it worse on her.
Becausue my daughter is flat footed the shoe i found that
she likes and doesn't hurt her as much is a vans sneaker.
they are lie a skater shoe and have no arch to them at all
and the docter say's they aren't good for her feet but who
is comfortable wearing a shoe with a arch when your feet
are flat. my daughter lies vans sneakers and so far it is the
only thing i found that she can wear that doesn't hurt her feet.
Good luck.

Yes, I have the same problem. Go to a foot doctor, and get inserts. I got them, and I wear them everyday, and they help TREMENDOULSY! Also, my feet are starting to get a little bit of an arch with them.
If you are unable to do this, then try not to let her wear tennis shoes all the time.. but my other idea is A LOT better.
