What does it serve? How does it cook? Who runs it?

these are questions to consider. for instance, if you served coffee and bagels, you could call it "Coreen's Coffee" or something. Or if you have a unique way of making your food you could put that in the name.

Also, "Willi Prader's All You Can Eat Buffet" is cute but you'll only understand it if you're a doctor or something...

I think I'd be quite comfortable by saying "come on, let's go to Zani's place tonight". So many people often want to shorten a name of someone or somewhere. I often think it's human nature, they just do it, or at least or in the group does and then it catches on and there's your networking in progress.

We'll need to know what your type of restaurant is, a sandwich shop, a diner, what is your specialty? If you come back and post an answer to that we'd be able to help you more.

What sort of food are you serving ( Italian, Japanese, French...) what sort of crowd are you after (group age, salary range, "exclusive" or fast-food....) Zoom in on one type, that'll help: either Pedro's Pizza or Le Lucien, or maybe Kyoto's Garden

"Zanisha's"

That is a really nice, distinctive, name.

"I'm going to 'Zanisha's' ".....it just sounds so exotic and classy.
