I am a 22 year old female but i may as well be 92 my fingers and kness ache really bad most of the time i cant cross my legs nor bend down for long. I get head aches and forget and awful lot even midway though talking and the most simple things. I am very tired all the time and this worries me as i have a young toddler (no its not because of him as i had it before) for years doctors have made me feel like i am faking it. first it was i was growing (at 19) now I had blood tests done one for lupas as its in my family that was clear the other for arthritis that was all so clear they all so did many more and one that did puzzle me was that th tissue around my bone swells up and my doctor told me to take paracetamole. Anyone have any ideas ?

I have Fibromyalgia (FMS) and some of your symptoms sound like mine. FMS is closely linked to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and is also fairly common in Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis sufferers.

Symptoms include:

- Widespread muscular pain
- Fatigue
- Morning stiffness
- Multiple tender points
- Unrefreshing sleep
- Headaches / migraines
- IBS
- Irritable bladder
- Tingling and numbness
- Memory and concentration problems (Fibrofog)

There are currently no lab tests available to diagnose FMS, as the cause is unknown. Instead doctors must rule out other illnesses, patients must have had chronic, widespread pain for a minimum of 6 months, 11 out of 18 possible tender points (although there are many more) and have other symptoms than pain and fatigue. The full diagnostic criteria can found on the links below.

Analgesia will be prescribed and sufferers may also be put on antidepressants, which help to promote restful sleep, stimulate the production of endorphins and help to reduce pain. This is not always effective and there are a number of other pharmaceutical therapies available including muscle relaxants, benzodiazepams and anti-epileptic drugs. You may also be referred for physiotherapy, or to a specialist pain clinic.

how awful all that is......i had a problem for a few years that could not be explained by the doctor so had to live with it ....one of the symptoms was that i could not hardly turn my head to look backwards as i was in effect stiff..another was feeling like i was falling as i tried to sleep..that i could not breath for a couple of seconds ...legs felt like were wobbling when i walked short distance...could not think .......i seem to have left it behind gradually over the last 18 months once i decided it was stress ...i could not think why i would have stress as i am not a worrier at all .......if you put in your symptoms at the online doctor and look for similar situations that others have but never get an answer to from the doc..i wonder if maybe you too have some kind of stress related illness.........i also must add that i used to have times midway through the day where i felt so very tired and was yawning none stop for ages ....also bear in mind there could be several things contributing to all this

I'm wondering whether it's ME that you've got. I've posted the symptoms page of the ME Association website below. Reading through it, it seems as though the short memory may be a symptom but you'll have to go through it all and make your own mind up. Best of luck.

Hi sorry you feel so bad -- do you think that there is something that is causing you real bad stress as if there is you will feel really down anyway and then you may feel that it is something more serious -- have you thought to go to a hypnotist to see if they can find out if you are trying to shut something out of your life and mind -- it is surprising how it can help and would relieve your mind which would help you -- i hope you feel better very soon i hope this is some help.

Sounds like a form of arthritis, regardless of people say it can strike at any age, im 37 and have osteoarthritis in my knees, back and neck. You should go back to your GP and ask for more tests, if no luck there, see another dovtor in your practise and see what they say.
Goof luck

I looked at the top of your question and heavy metal poisoning came to my mind. Could that be possible? Some herbs that you buy are contaiminated with heavy metals. Some street drugs. There's other sources you could have been exposed to heavy metals, workplace, etc. Sometimes you have to look at the most unlikely places.

it would sound to me as if you need a complete examination so why don't you ask your GP to arrange one for you at 22 you should have none of these complaints but if you were in your 70/80s i would say you have to live with it
