technically im a christian. i was raised in a christian household ( im only 13) and like i constantly think, am i a christian or not?
when i think things like this i remember when i was in childrens church and i say in my head "god forgive me" so i guess i believe in god.
but i mean i dont know how to get to know god and jesus better. i mean i pray before dinner every night and before big tests and hard situations but thats its.
i dont sing in church though but thats because my singing voice can pretty much break glass.
im hoping its just that im in a stage were i dont want people making fun of me.

btw.. my mom pushes my sister (17) to go to youth group but we kinda feel akward there since we dont know anyone and i dont know if im just rebelling.
i am a good kid. i dont sneak around or do anything bad and i just dont kno why i have this resistance to god.
please help me.
thank you
xoxo jordan

You need to start having one on one heart to heart talks with Jesus, it's not memorized prayer but talking from your heart as is he were right there with you.

I know how you feel - as far as I can tell by searching, the main way to get to know God and Jesus better is to 1) pray - just pray like you're talking to Him and He's sitting right there listening (cuz He is) and 2) read the Bible. The Bible is the Living Word. The Bible IS Christ, in writing.. it's a great mystery, but it works. Get a Living Word Bible or an easy version to read, and start with the book of John and the book of Psalms... Hope this helps. Also, look around and visit other youth groups - you'll find one you fit in better.

When the devil comes to make you doubt, especially your Salvation, just open your Bible to Romans 10:9 and read it Outloud and tell the devil "I Already Did that, I AM a Child of GOD, I am saved!"

If you've got a Voice that can bread glass, you've got a Pretty Good Voice there Kid!
Your probably just nervous and a good way to get over that nervousness is to Sing in Church MORE!
For Jesus!
Hope this helps.

Everybody goes through those Doubts, just what happens when you Accept Jesus as your Saviour!

You seem to be much the same as I was at 13 years of age. I knew in my heart that God existed but I sure wanted to be accepted by my friends who didn't have to go to church, didn't bother to pray or didn't even care to know God. God draws us to him...that's the bottom line and he doesn't "twist our arms" to know him, however, he has given us a book of instructions not only showing us the consequences of mankind's rebellion toward him but also he shows us his love and tender mercy toward those who choose to be His.
At thirteen years of age there are so many confusing questions and conflicts within ourselves that it's easier to rebel and guaranteed that is what the adversary or Satan wants. Satan is very real and the spirit of the adversary wants us to have fun (the worldly variety) forget about God.....he doesn't exist anyway does he?....and remember that it's all about you. God loved us so much that he caused a very supernatural event to occur that His Spirit overshadowed a young soon to be married virgin girl named Mary to conceive and bare a child. This child was Jesus (Yahushua Hamachiach - Jesus the Messiah) came into the world through the womb of this young woman to be the sacrifice for all time for the sins of the world. When we believe on him repent of our sins we receive the gift of salvation and the hope of eternal life.
Many times throughout our lives we may stumble and fall spiritually yet there was a time when we believed and made a committment to God in our heart/mind. God forgives us when we fall , then repent and seek forgiveness and he does this on a daily basis. If we truly want to have an ongoing relationship with him it's important to begin to study his Word and the instructions for living in the world in our flesh bodies. Also it's important to our spiritual growth that we don't forget to assemble with other believers to help us grow and mature spiritually.
As we become new creations or new recreations in Christ Jesus our hearts(minds) are renewed and the Holy Spirit imparted to us so that we become like a branches of a beautiful vine. As we grow in God's spirit we learn many important truths because the Holy Spirit is all about wisdom, understanding , good counsel, power, awe of God and righteousness. When we claim those attributes into our own lives from His Word we begin to learn what is important and what is not. People will say, 13 is far too young to impose so much spiritual responsibility and that is a big fat lie.
Those friends that you fear might make fun of you could be placed in your path for a specific reason. Did you ever think that the more you know God and draw closer to Him as he does to you that you could be used by God in a special way to minister to those so called friends. You never know until you walk the walk and talk the talk.....you're testimony could save somones life someday!.....Be blessed!

Speak with God, tell Him how you wish to know and develop a loving relationship with Him and His son Jesus Christ. Pray for God to reveal Himself in you life and to send the Holy Spirit into your heart, so that you may be connected through love and grace.

It's probably a phase as you are only 13.
Research your own religion as well as others to see if how you feel really fits with a certain religion. You'll figure it out.
Peace

You are completely normal. I don't know many people that will say they NEVER questioned their faith. I went through that stage....

However, it turned out that I liked being able to think freely, so I left Christianity for good.

Just keep doing what you're doing. Eventually, you will find the answers you seek.

Study science, logic, mathematics and don't waste time on the bronze age middle eastern goat herders fairy tales.
Thinking that invisible things are around you, watching you, listening to you and influencing your life are symptoms of a serious mental disease called schizophrenia. Don't fall for it.
