" Jedi " . . . I'm of no organized religion, temple or church. I'm simply Spiritual. Appreciate your reply just the same.

An explanation is an intellectual exercise. But some things can't be understood logically. Logic is only one of many lenses through which one can view the world. Sometimes it's useful, and sometimes not. Through a more spiritual understanding (from which faith is the result), one can understand things which defy logic but are nonetheless true.

If true, frightening.
One who has surrendered all judgement to that object of faith could be led... Anywhere.

But the history of the world is full of examples of faithful followers led to disaster. I pick on no particular belief, just on the the principle.

I'm sure there were followers of Stalin and Pol Pot who had confidence that their leaders had to be working for "the greatest good" even when faced with the immediate injustices and horrors they were called upon to perform.
Those who have a faith at this level will not see it, but from the outside it is clearly vital to maintain awareness that a faith, however complete, however certain, can be misplaced.

Faith is the default mode of human existence. The skepticism in our culture, in many ways, strikes me as a mental illness (from which we'll reap the whirlwind). I think the author lived in saner times.

This quote makes me realize one thing, its a good answer to give to an atheist who always asks existence of god, and then asks to be given proof

Its such a weird thing to explain to someone that god does exist, creation of the world and us wouldn't have been possible.

I read this article once of a student asking his professor to explain existence of god and the professor asked him do you breathe air, to which the student replied yes, the professor then asked you can't see air yet you need it in order to survive, how do you explain that.

In the same way I think god exists in all of our souls, it's upto to us whether we want to acknowledge it or not.

I think they are very true.
It's sort of like love. If you love you can't always explain why and if you don't love you can't always explain why and it's not necessary for love or faith.

Then to those with faith: Stop trying to mess-up the actual world view of truth if it conflicts with your faith.
