What happened to the fruit in Dannon "fruit on the bottom" yogurt?!!?

I just bought a bunch of Dannon yogurts - hadn't had yogurt in quite some time and usually eat Yoplait. Anyway, there is barely any fruit on the bottom of the peach yogurt I just had - I mean, like less than half the amount I remember back in the day! Have I been away from Dannon that long? Or is it just made in a healthier way nowadays?

This is what happens when a mentally challenged company who thinks they dominate their market listens to the geniuses in their marketing department who tell them yogurt will sell better in a 60 calorie 6 oz. container for the same price as the rivals' 200 calorie 8 oz. container. ONLY TO SUPERMODELS - Dannon - ARE YOU LISTENING????
If you are looking for the tastiest, smoothest, best value yogurt on the planet, switch to KROGER brand or PATHMARK store brand (both fruit on the bottom) yogurts.
You get a good meal in each cup, and sometimes a price as low as 3 or 4 for a dollar. You have to eat THREE DANNONS for the same calories, and Dannons are not nearly as creamysmooth and tasty.

I can tell you why Dannon discontinued their fruit on the bottom yogurt is because Yoplait yogurt outsells them!! I asked our local grocery store managers and they said that Yoplait is the number one selling yogurt,and that the customers were telling them that Dannon was no where near as good as Yoplait yogurt was. Plus,Yoplait yogurt offers a lower calorie yogurt,and a whipped yogurt that almost tastes like a custard or dessert,but it is fewer calories.

I have tried Dannon in the past and I immediately knew why it wasn't selling is because it tasted very sour and nasty,EWW!! :-( In our city,Yoplait yogurt sells like hot cakes,especially the Original Yoplait yogurt with the red labels on top. It also is apparent to me that Yoplait may have sugar in it,but it tastes MUCH BETTER than any other yogurt out on the market,because it isn't watery or sour tasting.

I hope that this has been helpful and usually if you don't find a certain product,it is a very good indication that it wasn't a good selling product,and not alot of consumers were buying the product! ;-)

there are so many products out there now you cannot continue them all when intrest shifts to other products.maybe thats why yoplait has been number 1 in market share for the last 9 years or so.i like dannon activia but overall yoplait is just better.good luck.

dannon probably woke up and relaized their fruit on the bottom was gross and discontinued it.
